Counting failed attempts
Littering our shared mind
Ridiculed, assassinated
Generally ignored.
But why would they
Sacrifice themselves
Unable to harness power
Wield it openly in public
Touting their transparency
So truthful yet so trapped
Another challenge ahead
A heavy duty assumption
